In due course, Dolores takes in orphans, collects dirty dishes from neighbors, and even has strangers send her dirty dishes in the mail. Part fable, part farce, part domestic drama (think Threepenny Opera meets Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman), the musical is built around songs that originally appeared on Lullaby Baxter’s two critically acclaimed albums (Capable Egg and Garden Cities of To-morrow.) Narrated by Lutwidge Sedgwick, Garden Cities of To-morrow stars Baxter herself as Dolores, with Bertram Havisham as Morton and Lily String Quartet as the orphans.

“…a most delightful surprise…Garden Cities of To-morrow won you over from its’ first song to it’s final encore…a winsome, funny and gorgeous musical.”
-FFWD
